Excursion

Participants can choose between two excursion types. An exploration of the National Capital’s natural beauty in nearby Gatineau Park (Option A), or a discovery of the National Art Gallery of Canada, home to one of the finest collections of indigenous and Canadian art in the world (Option B).

The Gatineau Park excursion will be visiting the Mackenzie King estate and short hikes to nearby vistas from King mountain onto the Ottawa Valley. Both options A and B terminate with a boat cruise on the Ottawa River with direct view to fireworks.

Banquet

The banquet will be held at the Canadian Museum of History. The banquet is included in the conference registration fees. Attendees are welcome to first visit the museum starting at 5 pm. There will be a cocktail reception at 7 pm, followed by a seated dinner in the Grand Hall of the museum. During the dinner, an Indigenous performance involving music, dancing and storytelling will be presented, followed by the awards ceremony. Transportation to and from the banquet venue will be provided.
